Note on use The bike rack mount (item no. 11405) is specifically designed for mounting on the drawbar of a trailer or caravan. It is suitable for transporting up to two bicycles of any type. A collision check is required before use to ensure that the wheelbase, vehicle width, and trailer drawbar configuration do not cause contact with the bike rack during maneuvering. Pay particular attention to the steering angle and the vehicle's freedom of movement. Installation is carried out using the included U-brackets and U-plates, which allow for simple and secure attachment. Danger and safety information • Tarpaulins: Tarpaulins must not be used while driving, as they generate increased wind load and therefore pose a significant safety risk. • Maximum load capacity: The maximum load capacity of the support is 65 kg. Do not exceed this load to avoid damage to the support or accidents. • Secure installation: Tighten the fastening nuts to a torque of 25 Nm. An improperly secured connection can cause the carrier to come loose and cause accidents. • Regular inspection: Check the secure attachment of the bike rack and bikes before every ride. Loose or loose connections pose a safety risk. • Collision check: Ensure the bike rack does not collide with your vehicle when maneuvering. The steering angle and vehicle width can play a role. • No carrying loose items: Remove loose items such as pumps, baskets, or bags from your bike to prevent them from falling off while riding and endangering other road users. Ensure that removing loose items is part of the safety check before each ride. Maintenance and care Store the bike rack in a clean, dry place after use to prevent rust. Use only mild detergents and avoid harsh chemicals. Lubricate moving parts regularly, ideally every three months or after every heavy use, to maintain proper functionality.
